Chillen im Souk

Wer denkt Marrakesh wäre nur hektisch und laut, dem sei hier gezeigt, dass es total chillige Cafés gibt. Sie sind nicht immer leicht zu finden, aber man kann super toll abhängen. Vor allem nach einem  Spaziergang durch den Souk. Man trinkt süßen Pfefferminztee und malt sich dabei schon mal aus, was man abends auf dem Djemaa el Fna, dem zentralen Marktplatz, leckeres essen wird. Hmm!

Marrakech isn't only hectic and loud. Look here. There are totally chill out cafes. They are not always easy to find, but you can depend on for a while. Especially after walking through the souk. Drink some sweet mint tea and think about, what you will find delicious to eat in the evening on the Djemaa el Fna, the central market square. Hmm!

Morgens um sieben...

... da ist die Welt noch in Ordnung. Die Sonne scheint und die Pflanzen auf und hinter der Terrasse wachsen üppig. Es sind heute Morgen draußen zwar nur vier Grad, aber der Blick ist herrlich. Ich liebe unsere Terrasse. Vor allem um diese Uhrzeit.

Eine Iris zum Muttertag

Jedes mal, wenn ich mich mit meinem Makro-Objektiv einer Blume nähere, bin ich fasziniert. Die Farben, Formen und Muster sind doch unglaublich, oder? In einem Riesen-Beet voller Iris, war heute am sonnigen Muttertag genau eine Blüte bereits offen. Etwas vorwitzig vielleicht. Aber wunderschön. Ich freue mich schon, wenn sie alle blühen.

Every time I converge to a flower with my macro lens, I'm fascinated. The colors, shapes and patterns are quite incredible, right? In a giant flower bed full of Iris, on this sunny  Mother's Day, just one flower was already open. A little cheeky perhaps. But beautiful. I'm looking forward to when they bloom all.

Sticken für Anfänger

Man nehme eine Hartfaserplatte (250 x 360mm), eine kleine Mini-Bohrmaschine (mein neuestes Spielzeug), bohre gefühlte tausend Löcher, fädle einen langen Filzwolle auf eine dicke Nadel (das ist der schwierigste Teil) und fange an zu sticken. Für den Anfang mal einen Buchstaben .... taraaa ein "Y". Das ist aber nur die Vorstufe. Ich stelle mir das ganze etwas kleiner vor. Eher so 45 x75mm - kein Problem mit meinem kleinen, süßen Bohrer...

Take a hard fiber board (250 x 360mm), a mini-drill (my newest toy), drill a thousand holes (it seems so to you), then thread a piece of string (wool yarn) on a thick needle (which is the hardest part) and begin to stich. For starters, once a letter..... taraa the letter "Y". But this is only the first step. I imagine the whole a little smaller. More like 45 x75mm - no problem with my cute little bit ...

Wichtig ist, dass man sich eine Vorlage erstellt. Man kann dann das Muster besser kontrollieren.

Größer, breiter...

Es gibt noch eine günstige Alternative zum geliebten Washi-Tape: Maler Krepp aus dem Baumarkt. Gibt es auch mittlerweile in den  Pastelltönen rosa, gelb und hellblau. Das Band ist 25 mm breit. Und auf der Rolle sind 25 Meter!!! Wenn es also nicht unbedingt bunt sein muss, kann man sich auch mal mit dieser günstigeren Alternative behelfen.

There is still a cheaper alternative to the beloved washi tape: masking tape from the hardware store. Now in pastel shades, pink, yellow and light blue. The tape is 25 mm wide and 25 meters long!!! So if it does not necessarily have to be colorful. You can take sometimes this cheaper alternative.

Sweet Paul bald auch bei uns.
